Taskforce

The initial report recommendation called for the development of a joint CHIP and SDCOL taskforce comprised of literacy and health professionals to champion the awareness of health literacy in San Diego County.  This taskforce, known as the Health Literacy San Diego Taskforce, was convened in mid-2008 and continues to meet on an ongoing basis. The taskforce has three subcommittees, each focusing on a specific recommendation (curriculum, training and website).  The role of each Subcommittee is to plan and implement the recommendations from When Words Get in the Way.
